There’s a really nice two mile coastal trail loop in Cambria California called Santa Rosa Creek Trail that is part of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve and takes you on a hike from the tree covered path along the creek to the open fields on the cliff tops above the beach.

It’s a very beautiful hike that’s used more by locals than tourists so it’s not very crowded.

To find the Santa Rosa Creek trail, take Highway 1 north to Cambria. Turn left on Windsor Drive. The trailhead is on the left immediately across the bridge.
