Went for a ride with a few buddies to check out the Monarch fire burning a few mountain ranges over near Gardnerville Nevada.
Had a great time this past weekend with friends and family camping, fishing and hanging out at the 3rd Annual Topaz Ranch Outlaws Fishing Derby at Lake Topaz Nevada.
Good times were had by all.
Derby winning catch (total weight) for the day was 6.9lbs (5 fish limit).
Weekend on the Walker 2020.
Memorial Day weekend off-roading adventure and camp out by the Walker River on a working cattle ranch in Nevada .
Check out the movie I made covering the three day event and rides…
Short film of what it was like to fly this past weekend from Reno to Salt Lake City to Atlanta during the coronavirus pandemic.
Seeing airports so empty with most shops and restaurants closed up was like being in the twilight zone. Very bizarre.
Be safe, stay home.

Worked in Huntington Beach for a week and stayed at the Huntington Beach Inn on Pacific Coast Highway, two blocks from the pier and Main Street.
Here’s a short video I made of a walk I took on and around the pier.
Surf City USA is Huntington Beach California where the sun shines often and the ocean brings waves that surfers have been riding for decades.
Some of the best surf can be found near the Huntington Beach pier which is why the US Open of Surfing is held here every year.
Here’s a short video of surfers both young and old riding the waves in style by the pier this week.
About a month ago I sold my Ural side car motorcycle and bought a used Polaris Rzr that I’m keeping at a friend’s house in Nevada to use when I visit my place and my good friends there.
This past Memorial Day weekend I was invited to attend “Weekend on the Walker” (WoW), an event held at a private ranch, where we camped and rode many nearby off-road trails exploring the area in our UTV’s or Side by Sides aka dune buggies, rock crawlers, off-road rigs.
I flew out with the misses to Reno and drove to Topaz Ranch to meet up with my friends and get ready to go to the event. Check out the movie I made about it all…
Cambria is a very beautiful place on the coast of California just south of San Simeon where the famous Hearst’s Castle is located. The castle is about 2-3 miles north of town.
I’ve been going here for years and have traveled by cars, trucks, RVs, and motorcycles.
It’s a magical place of sorts with a really nice small town that has some good restaurants and shops and they even have a poor man’s version of a castle called Nitt Witt Ridge. More information about this eclectic “house” can be found here https://visitcambriaca.com/itinerary-element/nitt-witt-ridge/
The best hotels in town can be found right on the water on Moonstone Beach Drive, highly recommend staying at one of the many hotels located there. https://visitcambriaca.com/lodging/
Here’s short movie I made showcasing the beauty of the tiny coastal town of Cambria:

My favorite airline seat that I almost always request is the aisle seat. Getting a middle seat is my worst nightmare, I’m a tall guy, the middle seat is not good for me.
However, getting a window seat is to me like being a kid on a ride at Disneyland.
Staring out the window, seeing the takeoff, the landing, and the spectacular views from 35,000 feet is something that will always fascinate me. I fly every week yet it still amazes me every time that a large “bus” full of people can fly thru the air getting us to our destinations faster than any other transportation method available. Flying is truly great.
Took a stroll down Bourbon Street one night while driving cross country.
Made a short video about it…
Went off-roading with friends last weekend in the local hills of Nevada near Wellington / Lake Topaz / Minden / Carson City.
Started out in Topaz Ranch/Wellington and rode out in two off-road side by side rzrs on back country trails up Minnehaha Canyon and over Bald Mountain to an old house in the middle of nowhere built in the 1800’s and then we rode on and checked out the hot springs along the Carson river.
We recently moved from California to the state of Georgia and found they allow fireworks in the state, this was going to be a good 4th of July this year!
Being big fans of firework shows we were ready to celebrate our first 4th of July in our new state of Georgia, with our own fireworks.
