Sometimes airport food can be really bad and really expensive.
Once in awhile you find something good.
At the New Orleans Louisiana Airport there are some good restaurants with excellent southern cuisine.
These are kind of places we live to find when traveling. Read on…
My favorite restaurant at the NOLO airport is Ye Olde College Inn.
The main restaurant was established in 1933 and the airport extension was added in 2013 in Terminal D.
On my way home from a trip last year I was flying out of NOLO airport and had some time to grab lunch before my flight so I looked around the airport and headed to Ye Olde College Inn after reading some reviews and checking out the menu online.
The restaurant was obviously very popular as it was very crowded but I was able to get in and seated quick at a table – after perusing the menu I made my selections.
Started off with a classic Bloody Mary
For my breakfast entree I had one of my all time southern food favorites, Boudin Sausage. It’s so very tasty with a nice texture – this was the first time I had it for breakfast.
The dish I ordered consisted of a smoked boudin link, a poached farm egg and roasted pepper hollandaise sauce with a biscuit and home potatoes
Two thumbs up, it was freakin’ delicious!
